Cabo on a Budget

Let’s be realistic: vacations can be expensive. After paying for those flights, it may seem almost impossible to have a trip that is as fun as the one you’ve been dreaming of. However, there are several ways to have an unforgettable vacation without going broke. From free museum visits to cheap yacht tours, here is a list of the best ways to spend your Cabo trip on a budget.

1. Eat All of the Tacos

You can’t go to Mexico without trying some of the Mexican famous cuisine. Cabo, being an oceanside destination, is well-known for its seafood, but not everyone can have the luxury of sitting down at an elegant restaurant. The good news is that in Cabo you can eat tacos at a really really cheap price! Reach for the nearest taco stand in town and enjoy some great fish tacos. They’re delicious and also about $1-2.

2. Take a Glass-Bottom Boat to Lover’s Beach

The name “Lover’s Beach” might sound cheesy and romantic but don’t be fooled, Lover’s Beach is a fun destination on a small island next to Land’s End where you can take a swim and get a tan. There’s also the Divorce Beach, but we wouldn’t recommend you to go for a swim there since it has some rip currents, it’s better to simply look at it at a nice, safe distance. If you want to get to Lover’s and Divorce Beach, you can take a glass-bottom boat for $10 roundtrip for a quick ride and the chance to see a couple other sites as well.

3. Take a Shared Cruise

Here at Nauticlux we offer great rates for shared tours and yacht cruises. You don’t have to be a millionaire to sip some drinks while sailing on a yacht through Baja’s spectacular coast. Shared cruises is an amazing alternative when you want to avoid high costs and it includes the same perks as a private cruise: experiences crew, free snacks, food, and an open bar service. Nether less, it gives you the opportunity to meet new peoples while enjoying the incredible view of Cabo.

4. Snorkel with the Tropical Fish

When you go to Cabo, snorkeling is a must do activity. There are hundreds of colorful fishes, and an amazing underwater life waiting to be seen. Ask for our snorkeling tour rates, you won’t be disappointed, or else rente the snorkeling gear and swim your way through the ocean without spending too much.

5. Watch the Whales

Every year from mid-December to mid-April, thousands of whales migrate south through Cabo and the season of mate dancing begins. If you happen to be in Cabo during these days, don’t miss the opportunity to see up close and personal these magnificent creatures. Ask for our shared tours for whale watching, it’s more affordable.

6. Visit the Museum of Natural History in Cabo San Lucas

This is a free entry museum located on the Plaza Amelia Wilkes. It has a large whale skeleton right in front of it. It includes exhibits on archaeology, geology, local wildlife and culture and more, but the biggest attraction is the 2 million-year-old zebra jawbone fossil that was found in the Sierra de la Laguna mountain range nearby.
